FORTHCOMING SEMINARS Outlined below are details of forthcoming seminars to be presented by Michael Heffernan. If you merely wish to register your interest in attending a future seminar, do not send any money now just return this page to the addresses above. These seminars will be of special interest to those who are keen to learn from a person who has over 20 years experience with the market as Chief Economist/Lawyer with the Australian Stock Exchange and more recently with dynamic leading sharebroker Austock Securities. So that attendees can get maximum personal benefit from the classes the numbers will be strictly limited to small class sizes of around 15-20 attendees, and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The seminars will be of approximately 2 hours duration. The cost of the seminars is $80 plus GST. Subscribers to the website will receive a substantial reduction and pay only $50 plus GST. Notes and light refreshments will be provided. An introduction to the Share Market and Share Market terms. This seminar is designed for both new and experienced investors who may be unfamiliar with, or simply want a sounder understanding of share market terms and jargon such as, - What is a share market index - What are the sectors that comprise the market - What do the major measures such as price earnings ratios, dividend yields, price to asset ratios, interest cover, return on equity etc mean and how can they be used to the advantage of investors. The seminar will aim to give attendees a working grasp of some of the fundamental measures looked at by analysts in the stock selection process. The precise date for the seminar will be advised soon. An introduction to the use of Instalment Warrants. This seminar will take attendees through the nature and use of warrants in a step by step manner, and provide explanations of how installment warrants can be used to maximise dividends from blue chip shares in particular, to magnify the return without outlaying the full purchase price for the shares.
